Yes, and I owe all the credit to Jack's player, Kel - who thought this all up with lil added bits from yours truly.

So we've got a plot for the year already and we're starting first sem at Hogwarts. We will start term at Hogwarts this Saturday, the 18th.
Why not directly a week before September the first?
I won't be around to foresee things for quite a bit seeing that I 'might' not be around, tentatively speaking of course. And will be busy and we need to build on lots of things seeing that term will just be beginning.

As for the plot itself?

Age factors and timelines

If one were to follow the canon version of everything, then my friends, we'd be having a wee bit of a crisis at hand.

According to the timelines from Potter Lexicon and other sources as well, Bellatrix Black is apparently not a student at Hogwarts when Narcissa joins Hogwarts. As such, by canon rules, both of them can't be at Hogwarts at the same time.

Another factor would be Lucius being a fifth year by the time Potter and gang start their first year.

Now, as a result, we're NOT sticking to the canon version when it comes to things like this. Granted, if a sibling is older than the other, THAT will stick. But when it comes to age gaps, we're ditching canon.

So yes, Bella and Narc will be at Hogwarts together, Lucius can be slightly younger if he wishes, but since he IS older than the rest, at least a one year head start is highly recommended.

Regulus Black will resume role playing come the next school year at Hogwarts.

Of wizarding villages and basic guides

There are several villages that have wizarding families living in them. As such, they are called Wizarding Villages.

Now, if you are inventing a character, there are a few already-created villages on the boards - courtesy of Jack, thank you - and you can slot your character's family there.

Or you could join the canon ones already mentioned in the series. If your character's village isn't there, notify me and I shall make a board for you.

And now to the guides.

If you want another character in your scenes or escapades that you have planned, NOTIFY them, interact with them and remember, you CANNOT enter their heads. Nor can you just make a post to degrade them without consulting them first. If you and your role player partner are at loggerheads about something, then screw the idea and come up with something new.

Mind you, be OPEN. We can't have too much not wanting to give in to certain things. Be mature about things, it's just role playing, there is no pride at stake here.

Kickstarting the whole thing

So yes folks, the RPG is up and running, students are lounging lazily about in their homes and some are keen, enthusiastic and can't wait to get to school. Odd little buggers. *shrugs*

At any rate my fellow comrades, we have more people joining us. And here's the confirmed list of who's most definitely on.

Updates on the people playing who

Remus Lupin is now taken by none other than the lovely Joanna Van - make yeself a Moony to be proud of!
The beautiful Lily Evans *blushes* shall be Kavitha and she will join us, soon, I hope.
We've got the ever-arrogant and full-of-himself Lockhart taken by none other than Bijoy - he's Boinkhart by the way.
Lucius Malfoy shall be played by our former Regulus Black - none other than Tien himself.
We've got Esther on Bella - no longer Narc
And the ickle lovable greasy git! He's still the same! - none other Jules herself!
We've got an invented character in as well and his name's Johnathan 'Jack' Corvonius played by my good friend, Kel. Mind you, there seems to be a lot in store for this character yet apparently, not enough to be mentioned later in the canon series. Hmm. Gotta see where this one goes, should be interesting eh folks?
Someone who insists on being annonymous to ye all. Apparently, to him, it adds character. Downright weird one this fellow is but since he shall go unnamed, we shall refer to him by his character name as well, Albus Dumbledore. Or Alby. You asked for it.

The other people who have signed up have not gotten back to me and the other one hasn't been briefed. Once they have, I shall update them right here. Always check this site for updates because this one's more for the general thing and more on announcements. For more nitty-gritty, you lot can refer to the Out of Character boards on the forum itself.

The link to the forums is on the left of this site. So if you're planning on introducing ye friends to this, make sure you send them this link first. They'll find their way to the forums from here.

Of course, if they're of the Daft, you could just send them the link of the other one too.

Term has NOT started but I want to start it slightly earlier than planned. My alter ego - or player, Ash - will be busy come September and as such, might not be able to kickstart the semester off with you lot as planned. She's a busy woman, intelligent too and might not be around at the said time. Might being the keyword here.

So if we could start a week beforehand at Hogwarts, that would be mighty corking of you lot.

Prongs likes this picture. Some very talented Muggle has put quite a lot of effort. Expect a box of Every-Flavour Beans soon. Watch out for the brown ones though.

Prongs has been busy. And with work too. Odd, yes, but it happens sometimes. Sometimes.

Well the boards IN Hogwarts are already up but still, we need the ones outside up as well since we'll be starting there. Ie, Platform nine and three quarters and well, Hogsmeade and other wizarding villages etc.

Just a lil note to let you know, your admin is NOT sleeping. I've been in constant contact with Dumbledore and mind you, apart from feasting on earwax beans *refer to the board Dumbledore's office for further details*, he's been quite a busy wizard, the poor codger.

Boo - Character list finally out!

Prongs here. And well, Padfoot's with me too. And ~~I have~~ TOGETHER, we've come up with - no, not the map but a character list. Yes folks, the list is finally out. And we've also come up with the categories of the places in Hoggy Warty Hogwarts. So as soon as we put these boards up, we're good to go. The lil tweaks here and there such as buttons and links etc, well Prongs is a little ~~deranged~~ incapacitated for a bit, what with the internet connection in the Muggle world being absolutely a pain in the - well, you get what I mean. Anyone ever heard of Streamass?
